contemporary, /kənˈtɛmp(ə)r(ər)i/, adj.
belonging to or occurring in the present.

Although my training has roots in classical traditions, I believe this same discipline and attention to detail can be brought into all aspects of my work. This is the point from where my contemporary creative practise begins.

My aspiration is to create a connection between classical traditions and contemporary form and movement, however, I don't feel the term contemporary is solely linked to a style of movement or even within the context of dance alone, but as a description of the creative thinking and application to any and all work I make, as it is made.
